Our First Steps to help new platforms get the word out!

Congratulations on starting a company! Launching a business is an exciting time, and public relations (PR) can be a powerful tool to help you get the word out about your brand and products or services.

PR is the practice of building and maintaining relationships between a company and the public, with the goal of creating a positive image and reputation for the company. In the digital age, this includes everything from traditional media relations to social media and content marketing.

Here are some of our first steps to help you reach your goals.

Define your brand messaging: What sets your company apart from the competition? What value do you offer to your customers? Clearly articulating your brand messaging will help guide all of your PR efforts.

  1. Identify your target audience: Who are you trying to reach with your PR efforts? Understanding your target audience will help you tailor your messaging and determine the most effective channels for reaching them.

  2. We will develop a media list: Create a list of media outlets, journalists, and influencers that are relevant to your industry and target audience. This will help us identify potential partners for press coverage and collaborations.

  3. We will create press materials: Assemble the materials that you will need to pitch your company to the media, including a press release, pitch letter, fact sheet, and boilerplate.

  4. We will reach out to the media: Once we have your press materials ready, it's time to start making connections with journalists and influencers. We will use your media list to identify the best contact for each outlet, and tailor your pitch to their specific interests and coverage areas.

Remember that PR is a long-term effort, and building relationships with the media takes time. Be patient and consistent, and soon enough you’ll be well on your way to getting the attention your new company deserves.
